OVERVIEW
The age of vinyl records gave artists a magical twelve by twelve inch space to create visual masterpieces that were just as culturally relevant as the recordings within. And when the vinyl LP gave way to the digital CD, designers had to make do with the five inch square and lots of creative folding. Now, with the advent of digital files, album art is even less relevant. I'm vey thankful I was able to design the album art for a few CD projects when they were happening and I share them with you here. (Anyone releasing a new project on vinyl? Give me a call!!)

PROJECT SAMPLES
FOREVER AND A DAY by FOUR AND TWENTY ELDERS
I've been making music with these guys for a long time now and I was extremely happy with how this project came out both visually and musically. With life being what it is, the project took nearly ten years to finish, and the song title "Forever And A Day" seemed like a fitting name for the whole thing. The transit imagery is meant to imply the seemingly endless journey from inception to completion. All three of us seem a bit road weary from the looks of it.

A SILVER CHRISTMAS by REBECCA HOVAN
Rebecca is an amazing professional musician whom I've had the pleasure of knowing for many years. She's traveled with pit orchestras for Broadway shows and published her own instructional books. Her Christmas album is a beautiful interpretation of holiday classics you've come to know and love. I am grateful she trusted me enough to let me graphically interpret her musical vision.

JUST IMAGINE by FOUR AND TWENTY ELDERS
This album was a charity fundraiser for child abuse prevention. We had been a part of U93 WNDU radio's yearly benefit for several years and this seemed like a great way to do more than just volunteer our services. The project was recorded at The Farm Studios, owned by Smashing Pumpkins bassist D'arcy Wretzky, and engineered by the late, great Steve Spapperi.

DEMO: THE ROCK & SOUL COVERSHOW by FOUR AND TWENTY ELDERS
If you're gonna get gigs, you gotta have a demo. This is what ours looked like.

SUN, SHADE TREES & TRANSPARENT SEAS by MATT CAMPAGNOLI
This was a project for my friend and drummer, Matt Campagnoli The original artwork file for this project is long gone, so I'm glad to have this cover image as a souvenir. The illustration was created using Corel Painter and a wacom tablet.
